Every post has a status. Statuses tell your users where their ideas stand, and they're all your roadmap needs: a post shows on it because of its status, so there's nothing else to keep up to date.
Statuses
Status | Use it for | On Feedback's tabs |
|---|---|---|
Open | New posts nobody has looked at yet. Every post starts here. | Needs triage |
Under review | Ideas you're considering. | Under review |
Planned | Ideas you've decided to build. | Planned |
In progress | Ideas you're building now. | In progress |
Completed | Ideas that shipped. People who asked for it are emailed. | Done |
Closed | Ideas you won't do. | All |
Anyone on your team can change a status: on the post's page or in the Feedback pane (Status), from a row in the Feedback list, for several posts at once, or on the team roadmap. See Triage your feedback. Posts can't be deleted; close the ones you won't do, or merge the ones that repeat another.
Every change is kept in the post's activity, and your portal shows it on the post too, such as Planned → In progress.
Mark a post completed
Choosing Completed in the app always asks first, with the post's title. It says how many people that emails, such as "This emails up to 8 people who asked for it that it shipped.", or "Nobody is emailed." Choose Mark completed, or Cancel to leave the post as it was.

A post can also be completed by:
publishing a changelog entry that lists it under Posts it completes. Its page on your portal then says Shipped in and the entry's title. See Write and publish changelog entries.
Autopilot, when a merged pull request ships it. See Review Autopilot's updates.
Who's told it shipped
When a post becomes Completed, however that happens, Tuti emails the people who asked for it:
its author;
everyone who voted for it or commented on it;
everyone who followed it with Subscribe on your portal.
The email's subject is Done: and the post's title. It says the idea is done, thanks them for asking, and has a See the post button and a link to unsubscribe. When Autopilot completed it with a comment from your team, the email quotes that comment.
It only goes to people the project can reach: those whose address is confirmed or comes from your single sign-on, who haven't unsubscribed or turned these emails off, and on a private portal, who can still read it. Your team isn't emailed, and posts from sample content email nobody. Each person gets it once per post, even if the post is reopened and completed again.
Other status changes email nobody. To tell voters something before it ships, email them a reply.
Your portal's roadmap
Roadmap on your portal shows three columns: Planned ("We've decided to build these."), In progress ("We're building these now.") and Completed ("Shipped and ready to use."). Each shows up to 50 posts. Planned and In progress are sorted by votes, Completed by when each was completed, the latest first.

Readers can vote on Planned and In progress cards. Completed cards show their votes as a count, and Shipped in with the changelog entry that shipped them.
With two or more boards, a Board filter shows one board, or All boards.
Share an idea opens the board shown, or lets readers pick a board.
Signed out, the vote buttons take readers to sign in first.
Your team's roadmap
Open Roadmap in the app's sidebar, or Roadmap at the top of Feedback. It has the same three columns, using the full width of the screen. Completed shows only posts completed in the Last 90 days, and the cards carry your team's details too.

Each card shows the post's title, its votes and board, its Who's asking total if you use one, its ETA, such as ETA Jan 2027, and its owner's face and first name. The owner is only for your team; the ETA is public, and your portal shows it on the post while that month is still to come. To set them, see Reply to a post and plan it.
Board: one board, or All boards.
Change a status: drag a card to another column. An empty column says Drag a post here. From the keyboard or on a phone, use the card's status button (⇄) instead; it offers every status, so you can also take a post off the roadmap. Moving a card to Completed asks first, as above.
