Customize โ Widget sets how the widget's button looks and what the panel's Home shows. Owners and admins can change it. The preview beside the settings shows your changes as you make them, and Save changes at the top saves both cards. Your site picks up the changes within a minute. See How Customize works.
Change the button

The Launcher card sets the round button on your site:
Button name: "Feedback" by default, up to 30 characters. The button shows an icon, not text: its name is the tooltip and what screen readers read out. Screen readers give the panel it opens the same name.
Colour: the button's colour. Pick one or type a hex colour such as
#2563eb. The icon on it is black or white, whichever reads better. A colour you pick stays the same in light and dark; Tuti's default green has a dark-mode shade of its own.Position: Bottom right or Bottom left. A sidebar panel opens on the same side.
Icon: Chat (the default), Help, Megaphone, Light bulb, or Your own, an image you upload (PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF). A square image with a transparent background works best; it shows at 28 pixels. If you choose Your own without uploading one, saving says "Upload an image for the icon".
Choosing an icon is on the Pro and Business plans. On the Free plan the icons are locked, with "Choosing the launcher's icon needs the Pro plan." If your project moves to Free, the icon you picked is kept, and the button shows the chat bubble until your plan includes icons again. See Plans and what each includes.
The dot on the button
The button shows an orange dot when there's something new for the person looking at it:
a changelog entry you announced in the last 30 days that they haven't seen in What's new; entries you publish quietly don't light it;
for people your site signs in, a reply from your team in Messages they haven't read.
A part you turn off under Show in the widget doesn't light the dot. What a browser has seen is kept in that browser. For people your site signs in, it's kept for the person, so seeing an update on one device clears the dot on their others.
Set up Home

The Home card sets what the panel opens at:
Greeting: the first line at the top, up to 60 characters. Left empty, it's "Hi there ๐", or "Hi" and the person's first name once your site signs them in. A greeting you write replaces both, and is the same for everyone.
Heading: the line under it, up to 60 characters. Left empty, it's "How can we help?".
Show in the widget: a switch for each part of the panel, all on to start with:
Help center: the search and suggested articles on Home, and the Help center tab. It shows once you've published articles.
Messages: "Send us a message" on Home, and the Messages tab. It shows once Messages in the widget is on in Settings โ Inbox and email.
Feedback: "Share an idea" and the news of people's ideas on Home, and the Feedback tab.
What's new: your latest update on Home.
Quick links: up to 5 links, each a label (up to 40 characters) and a full
https://address, such as your status page. Choose Add link for another. They show at the bottom of Home and open in a new tab.
When you turn a part off, its card leaves Home and its tab leaves the bar. With Feedback off, AI answers in the widget don't offer Post this as feedback. With Messages off, Ask a person isn't offered after an AI answer, in the widget or on your portal. Your own code can still open a part you turned off. See Open the widget from your own code.
What Home shows

From the top, Home shows:
Search for help, and up to three suggested articles: the ones read most in the last 30 days that this person may read.
Send us a message, with up to three faces from your team (owners first) and how soon you usually reply, such as "Usually replies in 2 hours". That's the middle of your first-reply times over the last 30 days, once at least five conversations were answered. Until then it says "We'll reply here and by email".
Your ideas, for people your site signs in: up to three ideas they posted or voted on that moved to Planned, In progress or Completed in the last 30 days, such as "Export reports to CSV is now Planned". Each opens the post on your portal.
Share an idea, which opens the Feedback tab.
What's new, with your latest update and, when there are any, how many are new to this person ("3 new").
Your quick links.
A part only shows when it has something to show and you haven't turned it off.
On a self-hosted server, every project can choose an icon.
