A portal is where a product's team collects feedback and shares its roadmap, changelog and help articles. You sign in to post, vote, comment and react. This article is for the people reading a portal.

Each portal has its own sign-in: signing in on one product's portal doesn't sign you in on another's.

Sign in

Choose Sign in at the top right of the portal. Depending on how the team set up its portal, you'll see some of these ways in:

  • Continue with the product's name: signs you in with your account in the product itself. It takes you to the product's own sign-in, then back to the portal. It's there when the team signs its users in this way.

  • Email me a sign-in link: enter your email address and Tuti sends you a link. It works once, for 15 minutes. It opens a page that says which address you're signing in as; choose Sign in. If you have no account yet, this makes one, named after your address; you can change the name afterwards.

  • Use a password instead: shows the Password field, for an account you made with a password. Choose Sign in.

  • Continue with your Tuti account: for people who use Tuti themselves, such as the product's team. You sign in at tuti.so if you aren't already, then choose Continue as and your name. Use another account switches accounts.

If a sign-in link has expired or was already used, the sign-in page says so. Ask for a new one.

Create an account

Choose Create an account under the sign-in card. Enter your Name, Email and a Password of at least 8 characters, then Sign up.

Tuti emails you a link to confirm your address. It lasts 24 hours. You can post and vote before you confirm, but the portal only emails you once your address is confirmed. To send the link again, use Resend email in your Account settings.

Forgot your password?

  1. On the sign-in page, choose Use a password instead, then Forgot your password?.

  2. Enter your email address and choose Email me a link.

  3. Open the link within an hour. It works once.

  4. Enter your New password twice and choose Set new password.

You're signed out everywhere, and Tuti emails you that your password was changed. Sign in with the new one.

Private portals

On a private portal, only the people the team allows can read it, and there's no Create an account. The sign-in page says the portal is private. If the team added your email address, sign in with an emailed sign-in link to that address. If you're signed in with an address that doesn't have access, the page says so: sign in with another account, or ask the team. See Make your portal private.

Your account settings

Choose your picture at the top right of the portal, then Account settings.

  • Signed in as shows the address the portal emails you at, with Sign out.

  • Profile: change your Name, shown on your posts and comments, and choose Save.

  • Emails: which emails this portal sends you. See Choose which emails a portal sends you.

  • My posts and My votes: the posts you wrote and the ones you voted for on this portal, each with its status and votes. Choose one to open it.
