AI can write a changelog entry's text for you, and rework text that's already there. It writes for your users, not your developers: what changed for them and why it helps. It works on saved entries, and uses your project's AI credits.
Draft an entry with AI
Draft with AI writes release notes from the entry's pull requests, the posts it completes and its text so far, and puts them in place of the text.
On a draft whose text is still only its pull requests' titles, such as Next release, Draft with AI is the main button in the top bar.
On any other draft, it's Draft with AI… in the Edit with AI menu above the text.
Tuti asks Replace the text with an AI draft? first, because it replaces everything, changes you haven't saved included. Choose Replace the text. If the entry is still called Next release, it gets a title too.
The draft leads with the posts the entry completes, linking each one, and groups related pull requests into one item. It's told to leave out internal work, like refactors, tests and dependency updates, and to add nothing the entry doesn't say. Read it before you publish.
It needs something to work from: link the posts it completes, or write a few notes first.
It's for drafts only. To redraft a published entry, Unpublish it first.
If the entry changes while the AI writes (someone saves it, say), nothing is replaced. Try again.
Edit the text with AI
Choose Edit with AI above the text of a saved entry, draft or published:
Shorten: the whole text.
Shorten this section: the section your cursor is in, from its heading to the next (or the text before the first heading).
Explain for non-developers: the whole text, with jargon replaced by plain words.
Rewrite this section…: the section your cursor is in. Add an Instruction (optional) of up to 200 characters, like "Mention that it works on phones too", and choose Rewrite.

You see the result before anything changes: paragraphs taken out are struck through, new ones are highlighted. Accept saves it, Discard leaves the text as it was.

AI edits the saved text: save your changes first, or Tuti asks you to.
Every link, image and video is kept. A version that drops one isn't offered; try again.
Your team can make 60 AI edits an hour in each project.
While the text is still only the pull requests' titles, there's nothing to edit: use Draft with AI.
Set your writing style
Owners and admins can make the AI's drafts sound like you, in Settings → Writing style:
Tone: notes on how you write, up to 1,000 characters.
Examples: up to 3 of your published entries that read the way you like.
Choose Save. Draft with AI and Edit with AI both follow the style. It takes facts only from the entry it's working on, never from the examples. The lines Autopilot writes into Next release don't use it.

Credits and models
Each draft and edit uses AI credits. When your project runs out, the AI buttons stay but can't be used until you have credits again. See AI credits.
Owners and admins can pick the model that writes them: open Settings → Models and choose one for Changelog drafts and edits. See Choose the AI model for each feature.
